6-year-old daughter of ‘rapist’ sexually assaulted by uncle in Fatehpur
The six-year-old daughter of a gangrape accused was allegedly sexually assaulted by her uncle on the terrace of her house in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur on Saturday, the police said. The victim’s father has been in jail for the past four months, they added.
“We have arrested the 44-year-old uncle of the victim and produced him before the court, which sent him to judicial custody,” said a police officer of Fatehpur.
According to the police, the accused’s house is located next to the girl’s house and she was playing alone on the terrace. As the terraces of both the houses are connected, her uncle, in an inebriated state, trespassed into the girl’s terrace from his rooftop, while her mother was preparing food on the ground floor.
“The accused caught the girl and sexually assaulted her. Before leaving, he threatened his niece to kill her family members if she told anyone about the incident. A few minutes later, when the girl’s mother came upstairs, she found her daughter crying in pain. The girl, who was bleeding, narrated her ordeal to her mother,” explained a police officer.
The medical examination of the victim has been conducted, and the police are awaiting its report. The girl’s mother lodged a complaint against the man, who works as labourer, with the police on Monday.
The officer said the girl’s father and another man were arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl in the village in an open field.
